1. What Qualifications do you have?
I gained my Personal Performance Coaching Diploma passing with Distinction with The Coaching Academy, Europe’s leading Coaching Organisation, also quoted by The Observer as 'The number one coach training programme in Britain'
My personal development is extremely important to me and I and am currently studying a Corporate and Executive Coaching Diploma with The Coaching Academy.
I also have a BA Hons Degree. Possessing a naturally creative mind gives me an enquiring mind and hence supports my role as a coach as it strengthens my exploratory questioning skills.
2. Can you provide me with some testimonials?
Certainly, please see below or e-mail me to ask for more: debbie@lifecoach2you.com
As someone who has been a Plant Manager for a Global company and who was regularly in meetings with executives from Compaq, HP, Dell and Nokia, to name just a few, I thought that I was at the top of my game, both personally and professionally, but the last year has been a revelation for me. It has been a year of personal discovery; pushing myself to limits with a level of clarity and motivation which I had never achieved before. I now know myself so much better and can honestly say that I now have a far clearer grasp of what makes me tick.
I owe, all this increased focus, motivation, inspiration, fun and happiness to the coaching of Debbie Hayes. I have found Debbie, to be an exceptional support. Her skill in listening to me, questioning and challenging me is extremely impressive. She has me deliberating my thoughts far more then most of my highly paid specialists and with no prior knowledge of topics I want to explore. That is talent!!!!
Debbie has done exceptionally well in keeping me focused, especially as my mind can get into overdrive and get overloaded with many different things. She has facilitated personal insights and creativity I never imagined possible….which have been very profound and eye opening experiences. Some of the breakthroughs have been amazingly inspiring to get me to believe I can achieve even more and to realise I had skills I never thought I had!!!
In summary, the coaching experience has been invaluable for me and has benefited the people around me. It has expanded my self-belief, it has given me better levels of focus and direction. It has inspired me to do things I had never thought about doing and setting even bigger challenges then I thought I was capable of doing….and all down to the skill and support Debbie has provided throughout the sessions. Brilliant!!!

Initially I was at a crossroads and very indecisive about how I wanted my career/life to proceed. I benefited specifically through Debbie challenging me to examine what really “makes me buzz” and to identify what skills and strengths I have that I must pursue to give me reward in my career.
I had taken a 4 year career break to raise a young family and had been taking decisions in my career path that completely revolved around them and their needs. The coaching sessions made me realise that my needs to be catered for also and I would not gain anything and as a result become de-motivated and deflated.
Debbie’s coaching strengths are her ability to empower me to challenge myself and really consider what is important to me, to really think about my objectives and ideas.
Coaching, I feel, is a very valuable tool to anyone, personally or in a career, as it provides great encouragement to examine what really makes you tick and make you fulfilled.

Debbie’s pragmatic, results-focused approach has changed my initially sceptical view of Lifestyle coaching. My sessions with her provided an opportunity to step back and take a good look at myself, my life and my aspirations.
This enabled me to make decisions based on an objective review of my personal situation and also face up to some areas of my life that I had clearly been “sweeping under the carpet”.
As a result I applied for and got a promotion, without the coaching I probably wouldn’t even have applied for the role.

I have changed career from full time Senior Finance Professional (FCMA) in an NHS Acute Hospitals Trust supporting an annual division budget of £67M turnover to full time professional coach – developing and running my own business as a qualified corporate and executive coach and personal performance coach.
Debbie’s inspiring coaching has been very effective in helping me focus on both prioritising my business development goals and on improving my understanding of the specific markets I am targeting.
Her consistency, her professional coaching skills and her great ability to help me to clarify my goals are key factors in my success to date.
I owe her a lot. I am delighted to recommend her as a top quality coach

Debbie has helped me to move forward with my life, following some really tough times. Debbie has helped me to regain my confidence and I have started to believe in myself again. I couldn’t see the woods for the trees but I have started to see my future very differently.
I would recommend that everyone at some time in their life would benefit from Life Coaching and highly recommend Debbie.
Debbie is a great listener, she has made me find solutions within myself. She cares and is passionate about what she does and that comes through in the sessions. When I have spent time with her I always come away feeling on top of the world and ready to face anything.
Coaching helps you find the answers from within. Anyone sceptical should try it and I guarantee that they will change their mind after just one session.

3. What’s the difference between Coaching, Mentoring and Counselling?
All these professional relationships have to be held confidentially and each offer a support mechanism to the individual.
Counselling stands alone in looking into the past and prescribes an appropriate solution to their patients regarding single issues or mental conditions
Mentors generally coax, guide and advise their clients, and may teach in a specific task. They draw upon their own experience; pass on tricks of the trade to gain specific results. Mentors are expected to know the answer to task–related situations.
Coaching is future focused and client led, taking the client from where they are now to where they want to be in the future and seeks to empower the client to take responsibility to support them in setting self identified goals aligned with their values.
A Coach is totally committed to the client. Coaches seek to empower their clients to take responsibility, to alter their ways of thinking, behaviours and ultimately to take action to achieve whatever it is that the clients wants.
Coaches do not need to have any direct experience of the client’s issues as they work with clients to allow them to find their own answers.
Coaching is not prescriptive, coaches believe every situation and every client is unique and supports the client in a holistic manner, seeing their clients as a whole and brings awareness to their clients of the interactions between all areas of their life.
4. Is Coaching confidential?
Yes all coaches should work to a code of ethics;
• Coaches must conduct themselves to the highest level of ethics, integrity, accountability and responsibility.
• All coaching sessions will be held in the strictest confidence; it is important that the Coach / Client relationship is built on a foundation of Trust, Honesty and Openness to enable the client to obtain the most from coaching.
• Clients will be treated with absolute dignity and respect as free and equal individuals
• The Coach respects the right of the client’s confidentiality except as expressly permitted by the client or potential client in writing or as required by law.
• Written Permission will be sought from the client should LifeCoach2You wish to use the client’s name as a referee.
• Coaching minors can not be conducted (people who have not yet had their 18th birthday) without the express written consent of the parent, guardian or teacher as appropriate.
5. How long is a typical coaching session?
We can discuss your individual needs and what is suitable for you, below are a few examples
For those with demanding schedules – 30 minute laser sessions can be conducted.
However for the majority of people a session of approx 45 – 55 mins works really well
Some clients find it really useful to conduct a quarterly review of all their goals, to reflect on how these are working as a whole and to make detailed action plans for the coming months. These Life Action Plans are best suited to a greater block of time, tailored to the individual.
6. Where can I have a coaching session?
Below are a few examples, which I hope demonstrate the flexibility of coaching.
Telephone coaching works really well for the majority of people.
A lot of venues now have suitable meeting space ie Hotels, Libraries and Museums
If you enjoy the great outdoors, coaching whilst going for a walk is a great way of doing two things at once.
Having lunch with a Life Coach is another enjoyable way of conducting sessions.
I have even coached clients on long train trips to London; particularly useful for those with limited time.
7. Does Telephone Coaching really work?
Absolutely, approx 80% of my clients are coached over the phone. Time pressures are something that most people find difficult to manage and often people find that coaching over the phone allows them to open up even more than in person.
I have trained in advanced listening skills not only to listen to the words people use, but also the pauses, silences and tone, even emotions. And sometimes what is not said also provides me with greater insight.
This really makes the geographical logistics of coaching extremely flexible as wherever you are in the world, if you have a phone you can be coached.
8. Do I need to meet you in person?
It’s really down to client preference. I am always happy to try and accommodate this.
It can be useful to meet up if coaching on session goals of a broader scale ie Quarterly Life Action Plans or if clients have a particularly emotional session goal that they want to tackle.
9. How frequent are the sessions?
To get best value from coaching it is most beneficial to ensure that the coaching sessions co-ordinate with the each individual’s situation and actions that they need to make in between sessions. It is important for the client to gain and maintain momentum in making progress in achieving their self identified goals. Therefore on average sessions would be between 1 and 3 weeks apart. E-mail support can be offered in between sessions if required.
10. How many sessions will I need?
It really depends on the situation and the individual. I will help you to establish what is important to you; you then determine what you want to work on, so. Some clients have 3 sessions and then come back when a new area of growth or a new opportunity arises, others may work with me over a more considerable length of time.
11. How do I know if it will work for me?
I believe that you are the best judge of what is right for you. It is important that you work with a coach who you have a good rapport with and feel happy to be open and honest with.
I offer a complimentary introductory coaching session with no obligation.
This gives you the opportunity to experience coaching first hand and allows you to see if I am the right coach for you.
12. What can I expect?
Coaching is an excellent support system, I will encourage you to maintain your progress even when you may get discouraged or disillusioned.
We know that repeating the same old actions, gets us the same old results, coaching allows great breakthroughs. Often people form habits which in time become destructive, but if you have reached a point where you have a real desire to make a change, committed to make a difference then coaching can support you in creating the life you really want.
13. Why is coaching cost effective?
What do you really want out of life? Is it where you are now?
In the past you have probably treated yourself to a round of golf, a pamper treatment or a nice meal out or even gone on a bit of retail therapy, but I imagine the benefits were short lived. These are all great pleasures but in reality don’t address ongoing day-to-day circumstances. Coaching will allow you to make sustained life changes.
What would it be worth to free yourself from bad habits, lack of fulfilment and to create the life you really want, to start living the life you really aspire to?
14. I’ve decided to proceed, how can I pay?
You can pay by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
If you’ve made the decision that you are ready to take real responsibility for creating the life you really want - Register here to arrange a complimentary no obligation coaching session, it’s that simple.
I will then send you a simple coaching questionnaire for you to complete to allow me to better understand your individual circumstances and what you want to achieve from coaching. Once this has been returned we can get going and start you on your journey to success.
16. How do you support others?
I am a great advocate of giving something back to our larger community.
